Something special: a metro card

Something special for me is a MetroCard from the NYC metro system. I have to be honest, I’ve never been to New York City and the reason why I have this card is because a very good friend of mine gifted it to me. One random day we were talking about the metro systems around the world and the places that each other visited and he talked about a trip that he had with his father to NYC. I think that I mentioned that the NYC Metro seems interesting to me and it is true, I would go to New York only to ride the metro entirely. The days passed and he gifted this card to me. Once he was in New York with his dad they bought some metro cards for traveling through the city. It was a surprise!

The NYC Metro system is quite unique from the rest of its race, and also (for a Chilean like me) expensive.

I like it because I feel that I’m always carrying my friend and my dream to visit NYC with me, so I clipped it to a little case like a K-pop stan with photocards to carry it on my tote bags and backpacks. It is also like a lucky charm, it gives protection.

I have some special objects that I often carry on when I go out of the house to feel protected. To mention some I have a little bible that my grandma gave to me that looks like a key ring, a tarot card that I found in a Lider Express near Santa Lucia and some rocks and crystals depending on the mood.

It's not like I could not live without them but I would probably feel kinda unprotected.
